About

“To me, the grounds for hope are simply that we don’t know what will happen next, and that the unlikely and the unimaginable transpire quite regularly.”  Rebecca Solnit

This blog is about the world seen through art: a place for “discover[ing] that there are more things in heaven and earth that are dreamed of in our philosophy. It is the lighting up of the mist by the sun.”  (Henry David Thoreau)

My name is Becky Ayre. I have a degree in Photography from Nottingham Trent University and an MA in Cultural Studies from Goldsmiths College University of London. I work as an Editor and live in Oxford. I have previously collaborated with Inheritance Projects, on a number of site-specific research projects exploring historiography and the built environment.
